It’s been a while since I had the time to play with green smoothies the way I like it in my kitchen. As I finally got back to London and my routine after a crazy summer and autumn (the good kind of crazy! more about that later) I actually craved for a simple green smoothie. How awkward is that? These days when everything seems so unpredictable the only constant you can make sure you have in your life is the green smoothie.

Personally, I know that as long as I get them going from the morning, wherever I am, I’ve taken care of a big part of my daily nutrition. As we head into a new season (at least a calendar one, depending on where you live) our bodies do an amazing job to help us cope with the change. We should truly respect it and give all the help and care we can.

A few weeks ago, while still in Romania I decided finally to get on top of the mountains that I’ve seen from my window my entire life as a child. It was always one of my dreams to go hiking, but because of my spinal fusion and titanium implants I was always concerned about my back health. Ever since I changed my diet onto a plant based one, my back health improved and so have my pains. However, I am still careful about some of the activities I choose to do. I still can’t say yes to sky diving, but I can well be in between clouds up high.

As the seasons transition I find myself returning from a summer of homeliness and soul traveling. I have spent most of my summer in between London, Romania and Spain. And I loved it. It was a journey of self discovery and explorations. It was also a time for indulging in watermelons. Lots. Watermelons in Romania are utterly delicious and I’ve been practicing mono-eating, where i’d have a meal of the day consisting only of watermelon. Heaven. However, if there was one thing I missed while roaming around was a proper and green smoothies. Oh, those are two things.

Well, once I arrived in Spain to my parent’s place, the first thing I asked for was a trip to the grocery store for greens. And I went full on. The result? Greenspiration!
