Thyme Green Smoothie

Isn’t it poetical when you can find stories in each ingredient?

I’ve been drawn to each ingredient’s story for as long as I can remember, fascinated by ancient uses and modern rediscoveries. You can tell I was a history geek in school. I recently watched The Hundred Foot Journey and felt with every sense of my body the movie’s atmosphere. If you like food, cooking it, beautiful stories and French countryside you have to watch this. It’s just the sort of movie that leaves you with a big smile on your face. I won’t spoil it, but I will share a smoothie recipe infused with reminiscences of country side breeze in the late summer evenings. Because food is memory. Check it out.

Did you know the ancient Greeks used thyme in their baths and also burnt it as an incense in temples to inspire courage. If put under the pillow it was believed to keep nightmares away, and during the Middle Ages women offered it as a gift to their knights to bring out the courage within them.

Today I used it in a yummy flavoured smoothie and I hope it will inspire you as well to be courageous and try it. If you’ve never tried a Green Smoothie even more, this is the one to start with!

This is a beautiful flavoured blend and I paired it with some Aztec courage enhancer, Maca, as well as with Spirulina for boosting potential!

Despite that, the prevailing thyme hints make you feel on an holiday in Provence! Ou la la!

Enjoy and share to spread the courage!

Much love,
