Just finished a lavish chocolate cake as you do on a Tuesday night and decided not to waste the leftovers from the blender’s walls. And boy, was I inspired!
The secret? I threw some almonds in the jug instead of washing it. Top that with a couple of figs and some water and blend well. Strain with a milk bag and sprinkle over a pinch of cinnamon and chili and the most amazing magic potion awaits. It tastes like childhood.
It was enjoyed in the garden, under the starry sky. My mind was singing “Imagine” and then I saw a falling star. I sipped through the milk and continued gazing in the distance, up high. The little joys are those that make the wheel go round.
I tried putting together the quantities for the mix done from scratch. Worry not, you can’t go wrong with it. It’s cocoa milk!
- 1/2 cup almonds, soaked
- 2 cups water
- 2 figs/dates
- 1 tsp tahini
- 1/2 tsp raw cacao
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 pinch chili
- milk cloth
- blender
- Mix everything together until everything is dissolved and then pass through a milk/cheese bag or stockings. You'll get a wonderful, creamy milk. Sprinkle some cinnamon on top and relax. The rest speaks for itself.
